Creating a private online presence on CloakShell is straightforward and requires zero invasive verification methods. Before you join a community, you only need to create a simple profile. You do not need to provide your real name to participate just pick a unique username and you are instantly in.

Registering takes just a few transparent steps:

1. Provide an Email: Enter your active email address. We purposefully avoid third-party sign-ins (like "Sign in with Google") to prevent external tracking networks from cross-sharing your activity data.
2. Choose a Username: Select a custom handle between 3-32 characters using lowercase letters, numbers, or underscores.
3. Set a Secure Password: Enter a password of at least 8 characters. Common or previously breached passwords are automatically filtered out for your security.
4. Enter Your Date of Birth: Input your month, day, and year of birth to verify age requirements natively.
5. Complete Security Check: Complete the built-in "Verify you are human" Cloudflare security check, agree to our Terms of Service, and click Create Account.

Account-Level Security Settings

Clicking into your Settings > Account tab allows you to update your profile baseline parameters:

• Update Email: Securely change your contact routing by entering a new email and confirming your current password.
• Change Password: Instantly roll your access keys natively within the platform dashboard.
• Two-Factor Authentication (2FA): Add an extra layer of structural protection to your account by choosing Enable Two-Factor Authentication to pair with your preferred authenticator app.

Tracking and Cookie Consent Control

Under the Privacy & Legal configuration module, you can actively inspect our plain-text legal frameworks:

• Manage Preferences: Click the Manage Cookies button to launch your tracking toggles.

Because you own your information, you can request a full export of your account whenever you want. You are never locked in, and your data is always accessible to you.

As shown in image_a4a89d.jpg, look for the Data Export card within your dashboard console. Clicking Request Data Export compiles a full, downloadable copy of your personal database profile including your customized user profile layout, individual chat history messages, public/private forum posts, and all community memberships.

🗑️ Deleting Your Account on Your Terms

If you ever decide to leave the platform, we make the process clear and simple. You can execute a full account deletion, which gives you the flexible choice to either leave your past content visible or remove it entirely.

The account closure pipeline is divided into two distinct safety steps:

1. Resolve Server Ownership: If you currently own any communities (such as All Things Dog! The Pack Starts Here or The 90s, oh how we miss u!), you must click either Transfer to hand off administrative rights to another user or Delete to shut down the server.
2. Choose Your Content Retention Policy:

• Keep messages visible: Your raw text strings remain inside their respective channels so contextual discussion threads don't break for other members, but your identity is wiped and replaced universally with a generic Deleted User tag.
• Remove all content: Select this option to completely scrub your historical text footprints. Every single message, reply, and forum entry you have ever created will be overwritten with a blank [removed] placeholder label.

Regardless of which content visibility option you select, all underlying personal data is permanently and irrevocably purged from CloakShell's system servers exactly 30 days after deletion.
